The charming village of Grand Lake is among Colorado’s oldest resort towns and holds the honor of being the Western Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy the beauty of Colorado’s largest natural lake and stroll down the historic boardwalk with over 60 shops, restaurants and galleries. Grand Lake also has a library, post office and food market.
Grand Lake is known as the Snowmobiling Capital of Colorado. The town uniquely allows snowmobiles on streets by keeping them snow-packed for over-the-snow travel. With more than 300 miles of trails, 150 of which are groomed, Grand Lake has one of the largest snowmobile trail systems in the state.
The Grand Lake Nordic Center, bordering Rocky Mountain National Park, has 35km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing and trails for snowshoeing, plus a dedicated dog loop.
