Light up Your Christmas Eve in Winter Park

How do you celebrate Christmas in a ski town?  Pyrotechnics on a mountain, of course!  After an epic day of skiing at Winter Park Resort, join out-of-town guests and locals alike on Christmas Eve for Winter Park Resort’s cherished holiday tradition, the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks!

Festivities start at 3:00pm at the base of Winter Park Resort, with hot chocolate, caroling, and ice skating.  Even though Santa has a busy night ahead of him, he scheduled a special reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” at 4:00pm.

Once dusk fades to night at 5:30pm, a parade of skiers and riders carrying torchlights will make their way down Lower Hughes run. Santa and his helpers won’t be far behind, and snowcats decked out in their holiday finest adorn the slopes. A magical fireworks display will cap off this amazing evening.

If you don’t want the fun to end there, head up the mountain to The Lodge at Sunspot, where you’ll find a delicious holiday buffet–call 970-726-1446 to reserve your Christmas Eve dinner today!
